Salute to Military Spouses

On Tuesday, October 7th, we’re partnering with the Hampton Roads Veterans Employment Center and Blue Star Families to host an engaging, uplifting experience to help military spouses feel at home.

The goal is to provide the opportunity to showcase our local businesses so that we can increase awareness to the military families entering Hampton Roads. 

The event begins at Waters Edge Winery & Bistro at 9:00 AM. 

9:00 - 9:30 AM: Registration & Networking Breakfast: Fuel Your Connections

• Check-in, enjoy a continental breakfast, and begin networking with fellow military spouses and representatives from our resource partners.

9:30 - 10:30 AM: Empower Hour: Expert Insights & Actionable Strategies

• Our expert panel will provide focused discussions and practical takeaways on: Career Forward: Landing meaningful employment and navigating the military lifestyle.

10:30 -12:00: Resource Marketplace & Shop Local Spotlight: Support & Discover (vendor portion)

• Visit our Resource Marketplace to connect with experts and gather information on key aspects of military spouse life. You'll also have the chance to browse and support a fantastic array of cool and unique small businesses from the Norfolk region, bringing a taste of our local flavor to the event.

12:00 PM - 2:00 PM: Shop Local & Connect: Community Outing with Lunch

• Support local businesses and continue networking with fellow spouses in a casual environment.
