With over 45 years of experience in banking, James currently serves as Vice President of Community Development for Dollar Bank’s Virginia market. James helps develop community relationships and partnerships with non-profit, public, municipal, private, and charitable organizations in the Hampton Roads area, as well as funding through grants and other outreach opportunities for Dollar Bank.
Currently, James serves on the Board of Directors of Tidewater Youth Services Foundation; Board of Directors- Judeo Christian Outreach Center, Board of Directors and Founding Member of The Community Reinvestment Coalition of Virginia (CRCVA); Board of Directors- Burfoot House Chesapeake Shelter; Finance Committee Chair of Bank On-Hampton Roads Financial Literacy; Instructor and Coach -Bank On Hampton Roads Financial Literacy; Member of Tidewater Community College’s Workforce Solutions Advisory Committee, and 2010 graduate and Current Member of the Norfolk FBI Citizens Academy.
James is a nationally Certified Credit Counselor through the National Association of Consumer Credit Counselors (NACCC) who provides financial literacy, credit and budget counseling to various non-profit agencies and organizations in the Hampton Roads area.
