Certificate in Retail Operations

The Certificate in Retail Operations strives to fill the competency gap in retail operations, equipping participants with the education and skills to overcome the challenges inherent in starting or advancing their careers in the retail industry. This 14-week virtual program is broken up into seven topic areas (2 weeks in length), each representing the 7 Behaviors of Retail Excellence (Startup, Retail Accounting, Marketing and Advertising, Merchandising and Inventory Management, HR Management, LP and Security, and Business Planning). STRIVE Workshops

STRIVE workshops have been created monthly and are available at no cost to members ($10 non-members) on topics of interest for today’s retailers and other small businesses. These 1 hr 15 min workshops are live streamed and recordings are provided to registered participants.

Subject Matter Experts share their expertise and advice, with participants provided at least three things they can implement right away in their businesses.

Topics are designed to be focused, timely and practical, frequently coming from the suggestions of our members.

STRIVE Loss Prevention Workshops

STRIVE Loss Prevention are meetings that welcome both retailers and law enforcement to come together to discuss and share information regarding retail loss prevention and associated topics. Monthly meetings are live streamed on the fourth Tuesday and are open to members and guests. The guest speakers discuss topics relating to counterfeiting, disaster preparedness, security, gang awareness, vendor theft, store layout, and more.
